When demockracy is no longer democracy but has become a mere veneer for corporatocracy then peaceful civil disobedience has its place. However, for true legitimacy, it must have the backing of the general public or else the cause is lost.
In 2015, Guardian columnist George Monbiot penned a scathing attack upon the growing grassroots movement protesting the circus in the sky. He still refers to this article of his whenever someone brings up this topic to him again. Therefore I have addressed the points that he made (in italics) one piece at a time.
Contrails are artificially-induced cirrus clouds. Like cirrus clouds they form from ice nucleating on small particles at around 10 km, cruise altitude. These particles, known as ice nuclei, play an essential role in contrail formation. The core of each ice crystal is thus, not ice. Claiming that contrails “are essentially ice” is false and disingenuous, as it leaves out the essential role of these tiny seeds, without which, contrails, contrail cirrus and aviation-induced clouds would simply not occur.
Beyond the ice curtain and through the ring of fire we arrive once again at centre stage in the grand theatre.
As we approach this region beyond the north wind, where the natural order has been turned on its head, we should bear in mind the early intentions of the global powers to bring about a melting of the Arctic ice cap by such means as covering it with black carbon (soot) and altering cloud cover.
Another intent of these operations, and the one most relevant to the overarching theme of this study, is to nurture unprecedented hurricanes and tropical storms which under a phil-anthropogenically warmed world, track further north, merge with ice nucleated storms, intensifying the pressure gradient, and accelerate the breakdown of Arctic ice.
From 2008 to 2011, Cal Water, a 3-year program, mostly land-based but using Dewey G1 aircraft for one winter, was instigated by the Californian Energy Commission, and supported by NOAA and Scripps in response to the decreasing precipitation and snow pack. It looked at the role of atmospheric rivers penetrating inland and the role of aerosols in modulating clouds and precipitation over the Sierra.
In August 2017, the most extreme precipitation event in American history was witnessed before the world’s very eyes. This mightiest of wind storms parked itself over the Texas coast, obliterated oil fields, wrecked rigs and refineries, released enough water to fill a trillion-gallon hat, washed away lives and livelihoods and the mediarologists barely batted their lids. Harvey was followed by Irma, Jose, Maria and Lee. All major hurricanes of Category 3 or higher. In this warming world, with perfect storms without precedence, of ever greater intensity, brewed from oceans transformed into gigantic heat reservoirs, it should be no surprise when one eventually turns up at your door. However, surprises a plenty are in store.
Climate scientists claim that global warming amplifies the risk factors for extreme weather events such as floods and droughts. Rising temperatures increase evaporation and evapotranspiration which adds moisture to the atmosphere whilst taking it from soil, plants and water bodies, increasing the frequency and intensity of droughts. As the atmosphere holds more water, the risk of extreme rainfall events increases. Under our hypothesis positing the introduction of an over-seeding regime of aerosols into the upper atmosphere, this retention of water followed by eventual deluges would be greatly exacerbated.
Rather than viewing all weather and climate as being manipulated by a single, obscure facility that sounds ominous, but looks more like a communal clothes-drying area, it would be better to think of “HAARP” as a meme, a perpetuating idea, like “radio” or “radar,” manifesting in a variety of technical forms with a similar function.
